Welcome to Sam’s Garlic Shack—where fresh flavor meets fire!
It all started with a little garden and a whole lot of peppers. After growing up between Eastover and Lugoff, SC, I always had a thing for growing fruits and veggies. From digging in the dirt on the family farm to experimenting in my backyard garden in Lexington, I’ve always been fascinated by what the earth can give you (especially when it kicks back with some serious heat).
In 2020, I planted my first crop of super hot peppers—ghosts, scorpions, Carolina Reapers—and let’s just say... they thrived. So much so that I had no clue what to do with all of them. I stumbled into the world of fermentation and hot sauce, and like any good sauce story, my first few batches were... not great. But after lots of trial (and lots of error), things got good—really good.
In 2022, I created Terminado, my first truly knockout sauce. A friend tried it, shared it, and suddenly people were asking for bottles left and right. That’s when I got serious—registered the business, got certified, and started building something real.
Since then, we’ve added milder crowd-pleasers like Fresno Zest (our best-seller!) and Gimme a PEACH of That. Every bottle is made with safety-first practices, fresh fruits (yep, we hand peel and pit them ourselves), and a mission to deliver that WOW factor with every drop.
We cook right on Main Street in Columbia, SC, just steps from the Soda City Market, where you can catch us every Saturday slingin’ sauce and meeting fellow flavor-lovers.
